Steel, LLC is excited to contribute to the construction of a new police station in Bethesda, Maryland. The new 2nd District Police Station will be located on Rugby Avenue adjacent to the Woodmont-Rugby Parking Garage. The building will serve as a replacement for the original station on Wisconsin and Montgomery Avenue, which was constructed in 1961.

The new 38,000 square foot building will stand four stories tall. Steel, LLC provided structural steel that will serve as the frame for the new structure.

The station, set for completion in Spring of 2017, will meet ADA standards and is expected to achieve LEED Silver Certification for energy efficiency. It will include a secure, gated entrance for police officers and a meeting room open to the public, two features the previous station did not include.
