This formerly abandoned quarry will be home to a 90-day emergency drinking water supply for the Atlanta, Georgia. Steel, LLC supplied the 637 tons of steel used to build the pump house for the facility. Among plans for the 280 acres area are recreation spaces, playgrounds, walking trails, and connections to the Atlanta Beltline’s Westside Trail. The facility is expected to open in 2019.
