Steel, LLC provided 318 tons of structural steel for the construction of the Nellis Air Force Base F-35 Maintenance Hangar and Office Space. The hangar is designed to house four F-35 aircraft for maintenance.

The structure type is Braced frame steel structure. Roof framing consists of custom fabricated long span trusses allowing for 22,000 s.f. of clear hangar space with no columns. Main roof trusses are 92’ long x 12’ deep at midspan and taper down to 5’-0” deep at the supports.

There are two hangar doors. The head of each hanger door opening is framed with 108’ long by 12’ deep truss allowing for a 108’ long by 34’ tall clear opening at each door.
