At the Naval Air Station on the Patuxent River in Maryland, construction is underway for the P-561 Aircraft Prototype Facility. Steel, LLC  is working as the design build partner for the structural steel with contractor John C. Grimberg and ALPHATEC engineers and architects to provide the structural steel elements for the hanger. The build requires 1,350 tons of steel and encompasses 89,000 sq.ft.  The structure is comprised of 3 long-span steel box trusses each spanning approximately 260 linear feet.  Steel, LLC is also providing the miscellaneous metals and the light gauge façade framing for the metal panels that clad the facility.
