After more than 100 years, Savannah is reuniting with its beloved river once again, in a vibrant entertainment destination named Plant Riverside District.
Steel LLC was contracted for several aspects of this massive project, including the featured hotel that will live on the property. This was the largest redevelopment in the history of Savannah’s National Historic Landmark District. The $375 million project expanded the city’s iconic riverfront to a 4.5-acre waterfront hospitality and entertainment destination, anchored by the 419-room JW Marriott Savannah hotel. The new district officially opened in July 2020.
