Welding Inspector Entry Level

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

• Inspect welds according to all applicable codes/standards after training
• Accurately gather required data for pass/fail • Research any questions related to quality, procedure, code, etc.

 Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Bending, Stooping, Kneeling and Reaching
• Ability to stand for lengthy periods of time
• The ability to stand and walk in a shop environment for long periods of time
• Ability to lift and move any equipment necessary to perform job duties.
• Able to work long hours
• Able to work in hot or cold environments

Required Skills:

• Able to write/type inspection information in English in an organized manner
• Ability to use a computer and programs for logging and research
• Possess the ability to communicate well in a team atmosphere
• Possess the ability to work in a professional manner
• Basic knowledge of code requirements and the ability to find answers
• Must be a motivated self-starter and have integrity

Education Requirement:

• Minimum of 3 years of related experience in production or quality
• Ability to pass Preferred to have existing weld or weld inspection experience
