Located at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, Steel, LLC took part in this project at the existing Delta hangar. The project consists of 1,508 tons of structural steel (including checkered plate floor) and 59,000 square feet of metal deck. In addition, the scope includes miscellaneous metals including perimeter railings, stairs, bollards, ladders etc.
The project is unique in that it is a self-supporting structure built inside an existing hangar. The team successfully completed the project in under 6 months from time of award on an expedited schedule.
